Mr. President Did You See?

Mr. President, did you see?

As you came to launch, so filled with glee,

The sink holes empty, the river's plea,

A tale of sorrow, of River Ezava's decree.

Once a lifeline, a source of grace,

Now reduced to a fragile, barren space,

Unregulated mining, reckless chase,

Has left this river's heart in a weary embrace.

Unsustainable agriculture took its toll,

Greedy hands and unchecked control,

The water levels dwindled, taking its toll,

On nature's balance, we've lost our role.

Forezava stands, a foundation true,

Youth and women, with hearts askew,

In climate-smart ways, we knew,

To restore and protect, for me and you.

Mr. President, open your eyes to see,

The River Ezava's desperate plea,

With your help, a brighter destiny,

For this precious river, once flowing and free.

Let's stand united, hand in hand,

To heal the wounds of our Motherland,

With love and care, let's make a stand,

For River Ezava, and her golden sand.

May this poem ignite a spark of hope,

A commitment to act, to cope,

For future generations, we must elope,

With nature's gifts, we will sow and mope.

So, Mr. President, take heed and lead,

In this noble cause, plant the seed,

With Forezava's efforts, we will succeed,

In restoring the river, fulfilling the need.
